Born in Portland, Jeff graduated from Franklin High School. After 10 years for school and work in California and Washington, DC, Jeff returned to Portland and has lived on both the east and west sides. He currently resides within a few doors of Franklin.

Jeff has worked as a consulting actuary for over 40 years. He is an Associate and past chair of the Pension Committee of the Society of Actuaries, a Member and past Board member of the American Academy of Actuaries, and a Fellow, past Board member and past President of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries. He graduated magna cum laude from Claremont McKenna College with a BA in mathematics and political science, and from George Washington University with a Juris Doctor with honors. Jeff is a member of the bar in Virginia and the District of Columbia.

Oregon Democrats Communicate with Portland Citizens

In May, 2022, I was elected as a Democratic Precinctperson for Precinct 4602 in SE Portland, roughly bounded on the west and east by SE 50^th Avenue and SE 82^nd Avenue, and on the north and south by SE Division and SE Powell. Franklin High School sits in the northwest corner of this precinct (here’s a MAP; Franklin sits on the large purple block between SE Division and Woodward, as does Atkinson Grade School).

For the November 2022 election, Democrats will canvass Portland neighborhoods to discuss candidates and issues with voters. I and others are already doing that in Precinct 4602. However, with the Internet and the pandemic, we need alternative ways to reach out to voters. So this website is an experiment to broaden our reach, thank you for participating.
